Overview

BagCheck (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices. We collect minimal data and do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Information We Collect

Information you provide. When you submit a policy update report, you may optionally provide an email address. This is used only to follow up on your submission and is never used for marketing.

Usage data. We may collect standard server log data including IP addresses, browser type, referring URLs, and pages visited. This is used solely for security, debugging, and understanding aggregate traffic patterns.

Bag checker data. When you use the “Will My Bag Fit?” checker, your bag dimensions and venue selection are sent to our server to compute a result. We do not store this data after the response is returned.

Cookies

BagCheck uses a minimal number of cookies. We store your recent venue searches in your browser's local storage (not a cookie) for convenience — this data never leaves your device. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this policy and provide opt-out options.

Affiliate Links & Third Parties

BagCheck participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. When you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Amazon may set cookies on your browser when you follow these links; Amazon's privacy policy governs that data collection. We do not share your personal information with Amazon or any other affiliate partner.

Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting analytics tools that do not use cookies or fingerprinting to measure aggregate page traffic. Any analytics vendor we use is contractually prohibited from selling or sharing your data.

Data Retention

Policy update submissions are retained for up to 24 months to maintain a record of policy change history. Email addresses provided with submissions are deleted within 90 days of the submission being resolved.

Your Rights

You may request deletion of any personal data you provided by emailing hello@bagcheck.com. We will process requests within 30 days.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy occasionally. The “last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of BagCheck after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
